BIL ISSUER

The SPDR Bloomberg Barclays 1-3 Month T-Bill ETF (BIL) is managed by SSGA Funds Management, Inc. (SSGA FM). BIL seeks to track the performance of the Bloomberg 1-3 Month U.S. Treasury Bill Index. Utilizing a sampling strategy, the fund may not purchase all the securities in the index but aims to maintain a portfolio with similar risk and return characteristics. Under normal market conditions, BIL invests primarily in U.S. Treasury Bills with remaining maturities of 1 to 3 months. The fund may also invest in debt securities not included in the index, cash, cash equivalents, and money market instruments. The Index is market capitalization weighted and sponsored by Bloomberg Index Services Limited, an entity separate from the fund and its adviser.

BIL DIVIDEND

While the iShares Bloomberg Barclays 1-3 Year Treasury Bond ETF (BIL) primarily focuses on providing exposure to short-term U.S. Treasury bonds, it also offers investors some income through its dividend distribution. BIL typically distributes dividends on a monthly basis, reflecting the interest payments received from its underlying bonds. As a low-risk fixed-income ETF, BIL's dividend eligibility and distribution are determined by the U.S. Treasury's debt obligations, making it a stable option for income-seeking investors looking to preserve capital.

BIL TRACKING

The BIL ETF, managed by State Street Global Advisors, strives to replicate the performance of the Bloomberg 1-3 Month U.S. Treasury Bill Index. Instead of buying all the securities in the Index, the fund employs a sampling strategy. This approach allows the ETF to invest in a subset of securities within the Index that mirror its risk and return characteristics. Generally, BIL holds at least 80% of its total assets in securities from the Index, with some potential allocation to cash, cash equivalents, and money market instruments. The Index itself comprises publicly issued U.S. Treasury Bills with a remaining maturity of 1 to 3 months and a fixed rate, providing investors with a liquid and secure short-term investment option.

BIL CORRELATION

The correlation aspect of the SPDR Bloomberg 1-3 Month T-Bill ETF (BIL) is generally characterized by a strong association with short-term U.S. Treasury bill yields. Given that BIL seeks to track the Bloomberg 1-3 Month U.S. Treasury Bill Index, its correlation with short-term U.S. government debt instruments is expected to be highly positive. Investors often utilize BIL as a safe-haven asset in times of market uncertainty, as it tends to exhibit low volatility and a strong inverse correlation with riskier assets.
